Today is a mixture of final preparations for my holiday and a WI afternoon tea for the queen. I started by making my new favourite cakes - the gluten free Victoria sandwich cakes - and popped them around to the hall with some raffle prizes (all the profit is going to a local breast cancer charity). Then it was onto tidying up, hoovering, emptying the fridge and dismantling the computer table in the craft room. Notice that I didn't say packing - for some reason I don't want to get the suitcase out until the dogs have been taken to the kennels in case it upsets them - I know - I'm bonkers!
It's an early - ish start tomorrow and I will do my best to blog whilst I am away (wifi willing). It will be exciting to come back to the decorated craft room - and a relief to start getting the house back to normal!
Pleased you are feeling a little better. How did Daisy take to the kennels? Xxxx
ReplyDeleteDaisy was apprehensive but seemed happy to follow Millie. Let's see if she's still talking to me when I pick her up!

Thank you. Have swapped to the larger suitcase! See you tomorrow x
DeleteSo glad the toothache was improving...it does sound hopeful, without meds it was only going to get worse or at the best stay the same, so to have gone so long with less trouble is very encouraging! Have a lovely time :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely break Lynda! Glad to hear the toothache is improving! Christine x
