Day 1 of my art adventure

Well - it was an early start after a fairly sleepless night but 9:30 am saw a small group of ladies hitching a lift from a passing minibus outside a garden centre!  Sewing buddy had already bagged the front passenger seat - leaving me squashed in on the back seat.  However it did me a favour - you sure get to know people quickly in that situation!

We stopped off at Barton upon Humber for lunch and a stroll around the art gallery.  The weather was warm but overcast - but okay to sit outside and go for a stroll. We also noticed that the work of some local artists from our village was displayed here - small world!

The journey to the hotel was uneventful and we were quickly booked in, bags portered to the rooms and clothes unpacked.  In fact the only major drama was trying to get the wifi to work ( there's no phone signal here!)

So it will soon be time for dinner ( soup / salmon with fennel sauce/ apple crumble and custard) before the evening entertainment.  We are off to a good start!
