Making the most of an unexpected opportunity.

Last night, as I was putting the finishing touches to the first "Santa Sleigh" bunting kit, I texted Jean to ask how she was feeling and to fill her in on some recent news - including WI arrangements for the supper club next week.  Imagine how pleased I was to find out that, not only was she feeling much better, but should we go to the cinema today to see the new Hugh Jackman film.  Never one to miss an opportunity - I readily agreed.

However Daisy had to go to the groomers first - can you see a difference?  Judging by the amount of fur she cut off - you should do!

So we opted for the 11:50am showing - and it was great - a really good "feel good" musical which has your feet tapping whilst you wipe away some tears!  We usually sit towards the back of the screen and arrived early enough to be the second people in the screen.  Whilst Jean popped to the bathroom, I took advantage of the stairs to get some climbing in - 7 flights later she came back (I have no idea what the others thought of this idiot going up and down the steps!).

On our way out we saw this stand for the youngsters to take their own selfies amongst the characters of a forthcoming film.  Of course we had to give it a try now didn't we?

After popping into Tesco's for some basics (tumble dryer sheets etc), it was time to head home and try to restore some order from our usual chaos.  Once that miracle had been achieved, it was time to prepare for my evening of Gail Pan sewing!  Bliss!

  1. Sounds like a good day. Never buy tumble drier sheets...do they make a difference?

    1. oh yes - there's no point in using fabric conditioner - the tumble drier renders it useless!
