Fabric, Facebook and (F) sleeping!

Well - as the great Meatloaf would say "two out of three ain't bad"

Today started well - a really good nights sleep - 10 hours, waking up at 8am (yikes) - meant that I could get going and complete some of those niggling jobs, like wrapping yet more presents, writing cheques to pay bills, finishing and posting two more snowflakes, the washing and generally tidying up.

So by eleven I was ready for a cuppa and popped round to Jean's - I've got coffee here, of course, but she wanted someone to help her access Facebook so I volunteered.  Jean had been bought a good quality tablet last year but the connection is really slow so, although I did show her what she needed to do etc, I am not convinced that she will keep it up.  I don't know whether it's her internet or the tablet but I would lose patience with it!

After lunch it was time to write some more Christmas cards - this time for those that don't need to be posted although I then received one in the post that I hadn't sent a card to - and so the fun and games begin!  This time the cards were for friends at church - we have a concert tomorrow night so I wanted to take them with me.

Then it was up to the beach for a walk with Millie.  She is taking the absence of Katie fairly well - albeit she is a little more clingy - but still tries to eat Katie's non existent food in the conservatory - it breaks my heart seeing Millie race around and go to the exact spot where the bowl used to be.  I guess that its habit and will stop in time.

Talking about Katie, it's my patchwork class on Saturday where we have been doing a block a month and mine, over time, has turned into a journal quilt.  The design, this month, lends itself to a bright star in the night sky but I wanted a golden retriever somewhere - cue a shopping hunt tomorrow for some fabric / sew on badge.  Mind you I did promise Sewingbuddy to buy no more fabric until March - but sometimes a girl has just got to do what a girl has to do!!

Tonight it's off to the WI craft group where we are making a wreath with garden twine and felt poinsettia flowers - I am really looking forward to this!

  1. Glad you got a good nights sleep.
And of course I will allow you to bend the rules to buy some special fabric, let's hope you get some.
And let's hope you sorted jean out.
    Enjoy your wreath making tonight.
